~ On the arid land sparse trees are pock marked here & there & appear as enormous sticks with green only on the very top where they capture moisture from fog, other than the stick trees there is rock & dust but then there’s ~ S k y ~ my God there’s sky marvelous, vast & glorious not obscured by buildings tall. Africa is not about gazing upon her land, no rather, she’s about ~ b e i n g ~ on her land, while living, breathing & in love with her ~S k y~ For land is her heart just a part of a whole, but Sky, her sky that is her — s o u l. bjf ©
